You can add items to the taskbar following these instructions. The Snipping Tool is being used as an example, but you can search for different items by typing them, example: Calculator, Notepad, Snipping Tool etc.

Pinning to the Taskbar:

You can add the snipping tool or desired item by clicking on the Start button and type in snipping, the result will come up and you can right click and select Pin to Taskbar.
